Please join us Saturday October 3, 2009 from 10 am - 3 pm at the Chapman Creek Hatchery for a celebration of BC Rivers Day.  This fun family-friendly event will feature a Salmon BBQ, Starbucks Coffee, kids games, crafts, face painting, music, vendors, educational displays, watershed model, hatchery tours, and more.  Learn all about the importance of our salmon and freshwater resources.

To get to the Chapman Creek Hatchery: At Wilson Creek (between Roberts Creek and Sechelt) on Highway 101 (Sunshine Coast Highway) turn north at the traffic light on Field Road. From Field Road turn left onto Parkway Drive and continue straight to the hatchery.

This event is organized by the Ruby Lake Lagoon Nature Reserve Society in partnership with the Sunshine Coast Salmonid Enhancement Society and with generous funding from Environment Canada's EcoAction Community Funding Program, Telus, Starbucks, and Province of BC.
