The Lagoon Society owns a second property on the other side of Highway 101, within walking distance of the Iris Griffith Interpretive Centre.  This property is reserved as the designated site for our future Field Studies Centre. 

Our Field Studies building will be a centre of research, study and ecological monitoring and will house a wet laboratory, seminar/lecture room, small auditorium, library, office, washrooms, cafeteria, kitchen, and a maintenance/storage area.  It will be available for use by students and researchers from BC, Canada and around the globe. 

The Field Studies Centre project is currently under development and we intend to begin construction within the next 3 years.
